Proposal 4

Topic: Dreamspace

Aim & Objective:
- to show that dreams is connected with our reality, what we face in reality will affect the content of our dreams.

Ideation & Concept:
5 cubes (with sensor) will be placed on the table, with a screen in front. When user touch on the cubes, different visual will be shown on the screen. A combination of more than 1 cube will create different effects on the screen.

















- the screen represent our brain
- visuals on the screen represent our memories.
- the cubes is the reality
- when we sleep, these cubes interact with our memories to create a new world; dream.
- what we face/do in the reality will affect our dreams.

Proposal 3

Topic: Blow & Collect

Aim & Objective:
To have fun in a group of at least 2 people.

Ideation & Concept:















This is an installation which involve 2 persons or more. The installation includes a projected screen, a microphone, and a basket (with sensor)
Projected screen: Orchard - a few trees that grow fruits.

The first player is requires to blow into the microphone - fruits fall down from trees. The speed of the fruits that fall down depends on how hard the player blow into the microphone.
The second player will have to collect the fallen fruits by holding the basket which has sensor on it. The basket will works as the cursor on screen to move horizontally. There is time limit and the score will be display at the end of the game.

Proposal 2

Topic: Stereoscopic-anaglyph 3D

Background:
Anaglyph images are used to provide a stereoscopic 3D effect, when viewed with 2 color glasses (each lens a chromatically opposite color, usually red and cyan). It is produced by creating two pictures (or two videos) from slightly different angles.

How anaglyph works ?

Anaglyph images are created by creating two pictures (or two videos) from slightly different angles so that it tricks the eyes into seeing depth.

When we look into an anaglyph image, our brain sees the red filtered areas of the image as ‘white’. While the blue areas are perceived as ‘black’ Actual white or black areas are seen in the same way by each eye. Our brain blends the images together and sees the differences as being differences in distance.

Problem Identification:
Anaglyph is able to create a 2D visual into 3D, which makes it interesting and fun, yet a simple process of creating 3D without going through the hassle of 3D modeling software.

Aim & Objective:
To let user experience an anaglyph game where they can have an illusion of playing in a 3D environment.

Ideation & Concept:
User will be asked to wear the anaglyph 3D glasses to view the game in 3D. The anaglyph 3D game will be projected on screen where user can control the game through joystick and microphone. Sound effect will be added to enhance the effect.

Motivation:
I was very interested in 3D movies shown in the cinema and was curious how the 3D visual was created with the help of the special specs. I made some research and found out that it requires a high budget to create a polarized 3D. Eventually, I decided to create a game of anaglyph 3D which is inexpensive and easy to produce, yet it also creates an illusion of 3D.

The general function of dreams is to try to restore our psychological balance by producing dream material that re-establishes, in a subtle way, the total psychic equilibrium.

Background:

Dreams are images, thoughts, sounds, or emotions that pass through our mind when we are sleeping.

Everyone dreams. It is just a matter of whether we remember it or not. On average, we have five dreams per night. Everyone’s dream is unique as it is connected with our own reality.

Some individuals believe that dreams can see into the future. There is no scientific proof yet that dreams may predict our future but there are many cases where people dreams and it eventually came true.

- false awakening dreams
- lucid dreams
- nightmares
- recurring dreams
- healing dreams
- prophetic dreams
- signal dreams
- epic dreams

We dream every night whether we remember it or not but we have never thought of the meaning and purpose of our dreams.

Aim & Objective:
To help user in a better understanding of dreams.

Ideation & Concept:

An application on screen where user can play game while navigate through the pages to understand more about dreams.

An installation will be created and will be placed in a dark area. When someone passes by, lights will turn on and the screen of the application will appear (dreams appear when we are in an unconscious mind)

Motivation:
I dream every night whether it is something odd, strangers which I have never met before or repeated dreams and I have always been wondering the meaning of these dreams, the reason of my dreams.

Our dreams are the source
for those illusive,
below-consciousness feelings
that tend to dive for cover
when they meet
the light of day.
If we are persistent
about searching for
and seeking our dreams,
and our inner self,
the line between the conscious
and the unconscious
will blur.
